What was your favorite food to eat as a child?
My favorite meal as a kid was this lemon pancake bake/casserole my mom used to make. It would come out of the oven all hot and buttery and then she would squeeze lemon and confectioners sugar on top. And she would ONLY make it when it snowed outside which made it all the more special!!
Do you have children? If so, what do you like to make for them or with them?
I have a nine year old girl and a 7 year old boy. My daughter loves to make what she coined ‘Apple Surprise’ with me. I cut an apple into thin slices and layer them on a baking sheet. Then my daughter sprinkles some ceylon cinnamon and a little coconut crystals on top. We bake them in a 350 oven for 10 to 15 minutes.
What is your favorite childhood memory in the kitchen?
Our kitchen was the hub of our home. I am one of 4 kids and that is where we all congregated and hung out most of the time at home. Kitchen reminds me of family.
What was your favorite recipe to help make when you were a kid?
My favorite recipe as a kid was good old fashioned chocolate chip cookies! My favorite part (obviously!) was licking the batter off of the beater mixers!
