Shari Bayer is the founder and president of Bayer Public Relations, a full-service public relations, consulting and marketing agency in NYC that specializes in culinary and hospitality. Established in 2003, her company offers personalized service, working with each client to not only meet their needs, but also exceed their expectations. Shari’s clients have included Capsouto Freres, elm, EXKi, Serafina Restaurant Group, Taste of Tribeca and Roots 2014 hosted by The Chef’s Garden.
Shari is also the host and producer of “All in the Industry” on Heritage Radio Network, a weekly internet-based radio program/podcast that is dedicated to the behind-the-scenes talents in the hospitality and restaurant industry. With over 25 years of experience in “the industry” from Charlie Trotter’s to Food Arts, Shari loves having a platform to interview passionate professionals about their expertise.
A native of Miami, Florida, Shari earned a bachelor’s degree in Organizational Studies from The University of Michigan, and a Culinary Certificate from the Cooking Academy of Chicago. Shari studied abroad for a semester in Florence, Italy and attended NYU’s Graduate Food Studies program. She has been living in Manhattan since 1998.
Shari is a past-president of the New York Women’s Culinary Alliance, and a member of Les Dames d’Escoffier NY, the James Beard Foundation, Journee and Toklas Society. She is also a contributing writer for Fathom and Thrillist, and a fearless solo diner and traveler.

What was your favorite food to eat as a child?
Shari – My favorite lunch was peanut butter and jelly with the crust cut off, and for dinner, I loved veal cutlet and spaghetti.

Shari – No
What was your favorite recipe to help make when you were a kid?
Shari – Meatballs! It was fun getting my hands dirty mixing the meat and forming the balls.
